個展のご案内です。 黒唐津茶碗 会場 穴窯陶廊 炎色野 日時 2025.9.27。唐津 岸田匡啓 陶展のご案内】 このたび草伝社におきまして、唐津市。国立工芸館石川移転開館記念展Ⅲ 近代工芸と茶の湯のうつわ―四季のし。本作は、ピーター・カラス氏による茶碗であり、荒々しい土肌に刻まれた景色は、まさに「炎の書」ともいうべき存在感を示しており、激しい力と究極の侘びが同居していると言える作品です。轆轤の痕跡を超えて、土と炎が一体となったその姿は、用の美を超えた彫刻的造形といえるでしょう。ピーター・カラスの茶碗は、メトロポリタン美術館など日米の美術館やギャラリーに収蔵され、高い評価を得ています。茶の湯の器としてのみならず、現代陶芸の一つの到達点を示す作品としてご注目いただきたい逸品です。【サイズ】口径：約110mm高さ：約85mm【状態】割れや欠けはなく、保存状態は良好です。陶暦のしおりはありませんが、個展時の案内カード（写真のもの）をおつけいたします。このカードはややいたみがあります。This work is a tea bowl by Peter Callas, whose rugged clay surface bears landscapes that evoke what may be called a “script of fire.” It is a piece in which fierce energy and the ultimate sense of wabi coexist.Tea bowls by Peter Callas are included in the collections of major museums and galleries in Japan and the United States, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and have been highly acclaimed internationally.
